I've bought all the gadgets and whetstones but they're all useless and really hard to use compared to this. It actually works. A blunt knife was able to shave a cherry tomato after a few minutes of sharpening. Amazing.

Description

Welcome to the ultimate sharpening experience. Turn all your knives brand new again. Set at 20° and 15° angles for precise, consistent results every single time with no learning curve. Try the most foolproof, satisfying way to restore, sharpen, and maintain your blades. Just roll and see!

Will it work for my knives?

Yes! The Curent Rolling Sharpener is designed to sharpen most kitchen and outdoor knives, including stainless steel, carbon steel, and even high-end Japanese blades. However, it’s not suitable for serrated knives or scissors. If you value versatility, ease of use, and sharp results, the Curent is perfect for you.

Which angle should I use: 15° or 20°?

The 20º and 15º angle options cover a vast majority of knives.

  • The 20° angle is the most common, especially for American knives , and provides a sturdy, long-lasting edge, ideal for everyday kitchen tasks and outdoor use. This angle sharpens quickly, keeping your knife ready for tougher jobs.
  • The 15° angle is designed for precision, offering a finer edge suited to knives like Damascus or high-quality carbon steel, perfect for detailed, delicate cuts.
Curent vs others

Curent improves on traditional sharpening methods by removing their biggest drawbacks:

  • Vs. Whetstones: Precise but slow and difficult to master. Tumbler delivers similar accuracy in minutes, no skill required.
  • Vs. Pull-Through Sharpeners: Fast but aggressive. They can wear down your blade. Tumbler sharpens with a controlled angle, reducing unnecessary damage.
  • Vs. Professional Services: Effective but inconvenient and costly. Tumbler lets you sharpen at home, anytime, without the wait.
  • Vs. Honing Rods: Maintain an edge but don’t actually sharpen. Tumbler restores your blade to like-new sharpness.

Every Other Method Falls Short

Whetstones, pull-throughs, pros, honing rods — each one costs you time, money, or your blade's edge.

Whetstones

  • Takes months of practice to hold a consistent angle
  • One shaky pass and you've ruined the edge
  • 10+ minutes of manual work, every single time

Pull-Through Sharpeners

  • Fixed carbide blades grind away metal fast
  • Shaves years off your knife's lifespan
  • Same rough angle for every knife, sharp or not

Professional Sharpening

  • $5-15 per knife, every few months, forever
  • Days without your knives while you wait
  • Means another drop-off and pickup trip

Honing Rods

  • Straightens the edge but never truly sharpens it
  • Blades stay dull underneath the shine
  • You'll still need a real sharpener eventually

We Are Here To Help

How long do I have to sharpen the blade before my knife is sharp?

The amount of time required will vary when a knife is sharpened for the first time with the Curent, depending on the condition of the blade and the quality of the steel. On average, it takes five minutes. The edge must first acquire the chosen 15° or 20° grinding angle. However, thanks to the constant grinding angle, only a few rolls back and forth are needed for subsequent resharpening.

How can I clean the diamond sharpening discs?

To remove grinding residue off the diamond discs, simply dab with a damp cleaning rag.

How do I sharpen knives that are higher than the sharpener?

To grind particularly broad blades, where the cutting edge stands higher than the grinding disc, elevate the sharpener with a suitably thick cutting board to ensure contact with the cutting edge is within the radius of the diamond grinding disc.

How do I know what angle to sharpen with?

Generally, western knives use the 20° angle, while Japanese knives will be 15°. To find out for specific knives, a quick Google search should give you the answer.

Will the diamond discs wear out?

Our discs are made with diamond, the hardest material known to man. When used correctly the Curent diamond discs shouldn't ever need replacing.

IT WORKS

I waited a while before making a review so I could use it. My primary use has been fillet knives for salmon and halibut. The tips are a little challenging of the fillet knives but pretty easy if you focus on that area.but I’ve also used it on my house knives it works and it’s easy and kind of fun.

Father's Day Gift

The Tumbler is the best knife sharpener I have owned. It is very easy to use and keeps my blades razor sharp.

This is my third Curent - two gifted and one of my own. I am classically trained and know how to sharpen with a stone, but this is infinitely easier and far more user-friendly. I always highly recommend to others.
